Doug McElvy is an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, His love of fishing and outdoors began at only 16 months old when his father would set him up on Uncle Woody's brim bed's in Green County Alabama. Since then he has spent countless hours on the water to better understand fish behavior and to preserve the beautiful fisheries and eco systems our area has to offer. Catching the fly fishing bug in his early years, Doug ventured to the big waters of Montana and Colorado before making Western Carolina his home. He finds no greater joy than to pass his knowledge of fishing and conservation on to any receptive ear. Wether it be a wild mountain stream or a big river, Doug will provide you with a fishing memory that will last a lifetime! Tripp McDuffie of Raleigh NC said, "He put me on the fish on the first cast! A north carolina native, Chris specializes in high sticking or "euro nymphing" maximizing his productivity on the water. Growing up in Asheville Chris explored all of the surrounding areas finding his favorite stretches of water, from hiking out in the backcountry for native brook trout, to strippin' streamers for large brown trout.

Being an incredibly patient individual Chris will show you his secrets and tips on the water that's he's acquired by countless hours in the river.

Born and raised in the Mississippi Delta, Neal grew up as a child being engrained in the stewardship and ethics of being an outdoorsman, which he still lives by today. By the age of 12 he discovered fly fishing, in which he has spent many hours on the water since honing his skills in the craft. His free time as a youth was spent wading the creeks dodging cottonmouths fly fishing for bass and sun perch. After catching the trout BUG, the tailwaters of Arkansas eventually became his common weekend getaway. Later, he decided it would be easier to move to the trout. He chose WNC, where he's lived for 10 years now and dedicated his time to carefully learning the local waters and aquatic habitat. Driven by his passion for the art and sport of fly fishing and the plentiful personal growth this craft brings, he strives to create an angling experience by instructing on proper fishing technique, while educating about the fishery, and leaving a lasting impression.

Mary was born and raised in north Alabama, and from an early age her dad was taking her fishing all over the state, from the lakes to the gulf. She learned to fly fish in the lakes of Alabama, but once she moved to Western North Carolina, she honed in her trout fishing skills. She moved to WNC for all the natural beauty, and any day in any season, you can find her enjoying our amazing landscape-fishing, hiking, swimming, camping and so much more. A great love of all things outdoors, as well as a great love of meeting new people and teaching the art of angling allow her to provide a knowledgeable and fun experience on the water!

Born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Jesse grew up in a family of saltwater anglers, watermen and boat captains. He spent most of his life fishing and hunting the intercoastal and offshore waters of Maryland, Virginia, and North Florida. An adaptable outdoorsman he has since expanded his knowledge and honed his skills; specializing in catching trout on the fly her in the rivers and streams of Western North Carolina.
